Storyline Eyeborgs (2009):

Are government surveillance cameras intended to keep us safe actually killing people? Is it a plot by the government to suppress the opposition, or have our terrorist enemies secretly gained control of our security system and are now using it against us? Following another major terrorist attack the US instigates an intense government surveillance program in which every camera in the country is linked into a single, all-seeing network called the ODIN system (for Optical Defense Intelligence Network). The system includes millions of mobile, robotic surveillance cameras known as "Eyeborgs," which watch everyone for suspicious behavior, all in the name of security, law enforcement and keeping America safe. An agent for the Department of Homeland Security grows suspicious of the system after a series of odd murders in which the physical evidence doesn't match up to what the video records show. Now he must work outside the system to find out who is really controlling the Eyeborgs.

In the near future as fear of terrorism escalates, privacy is a luxury of the past. Now, in people's homes, on the streets, in the workplace, everyone is constantly being watched by mobile robotic cameras known as "Eyeborgs." But are the cameras just watching...or are they up to something else?

The eyeborgs are out of control. They don't just survey, they have weapons, too. (Why haven't people noticed this yet?) There seems to be some kind of plot-to blow up the President? And who is controlling these out of control eyeborgs? Is it the President? The Vice-President? Someone unidentified in the vast security network that's been created?

Directed by Richard Clabaugh who co-wrote the film with Fran Clanaugh, Eyeborgs is part Robocop and part Starship Troopers with hefty doses or Orwellian dystopia thrown in to keep things interesting.

An eyeborg or eye-borg is a body modification apparatus which fits on the wearer's head, and is designed to allow people to perceive color through sound waves. It works with a head-mounted antenna that senses the colors directly in front of a person, and converts them in real-time into sound waves through bone conduction.
